Radicals- A free radical is an
atom or a group of atoms that contain at least one unpaired electron.
Electrons usually occur in pairs forming a stable are
chemicals produced in the body as a by-product of body functions.
Normaly, body uses these chemicals as as chemical "jump" to
speed up chemical reactions. Without these free radicals, many chemical
reactions in the body would not happen. Any excess free radicals not
used is neutalized in the body. Problem arises when more of these free
radicals are produced than body can use or neutralize. A number of
factors cause excessive amount of free radicals. Stress and age are two
factors that cause the release of the most amount of free

Free Radicals and Their Effect on Body & Health- Free radicals are very unstable and carry a charge which destroys cells causing cancer, premature aging, arthritis and inflammation of tissues.
